LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship and New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

Apr 18,2025 Author: Christopher

LEGO has unveiled nine exciting new Star Wars sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025, aligning perfectly with Disney's celebration of May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day. This annual event often features the release of LEGO's prestigious Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In 2023, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, and in 2024, the spotlight was on the TIE Interceptor.

This year, LEGO is introducing Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, known historically as Slave I, a name that was updated to Firespray in 2021 following a request from Disney (confirmed by LEGO). This change reflects Disney's ongoing efforts to distance the brand from potentially controversial imagery. It appears the new name is here to stay, four years later.

The last 'large' iteration of this LEGO starship was released in 2019, commemorating the 20th anniversary with 1007 pieces, representing the ship as it appeared in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The latest model, however, with a staggering 2970 pieces, showcases the ship as seen in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. This new version is nearly three times the size of its predecessor, measuring an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
