LEGO has unveiled its largest Jurassic World set yet: a colossal T-Rex skeleton spanning over three feet in length. Featuring minifigures of Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, iconic characters from the original Jurassic Park film, this impressive set recreates the museum centerpiece. Priced at $249.99, it launches on March 12th for LEGO Insiders (free registration available here) and March 15th for general release.
Available March 15th
This 3,145-piece set is designed for adult builders (18+), prioritizing display over play. It incorporates advanced building techniques, potentially challenging for younger builders. The sheer scale is difficult to fully appreciate from images alone; the inclusion of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler minifigures provides some context, but the assembled skeleton truly measures over three feet long. The skull closely resembles the currently available LEGO T-Rex skull (a set my son built and highly recommends!), but the complete skeleton elevates the overall impact.

The articulated joints allow for dynamic posing—the head moves, jaw opens, and limbs are fully poseable. Like many movie-themed LEGO sets, hidden Easter eggs await discovery during construction. A display stand and informational plaque detailing the T-Rex's diet, habitat, and more are also included.
While the LEGO Jurassic World collection is smaller than the Star Wars or Harry Potter lines, its rapid expansion is exciting. More adult-oriented sets like this T-Rex skeleton are highly anticipated.
