Leaked: Early Battlefield 6 Footage Appears Online
Jun 27,2025Author: Adam
It seems that the first glimpses of EA's upcoming Battlefield title have surfaced online, despite being part of a closed playtest. According to TheGamer, Twitch user anto_merguezz inadvertently streamed gameplay footage from EA’s exclusive Battlefield Labs session—an event designed to gather player feedback during early development stages. While no official clips remain on the streamer’s channel, third-party recordings of the footage have since appeared across the web, with Reddit serving as a primary hub for distribution.
The leaked video confirms earlier rumors of a modern-day setting, aligning with comments made by Vince Zampella and setting this installment apart from both historical and sci-fi entries in the franchise. The footage showcases intense firefights and highlights the game’s destructible environments—two core elements fans have long associated with the series. So far, reactions appear positive, which is promising news following the rocky launch of *Battlefield 2042*.
Prior to the leak, some details about the next Battlefield title had already been revealed during its official announcement last month. Among the most exciting updates was confirmation that the game will feature a return to a traditional, single-player campaign—a mode sorely missed by many players after its absence in Battlefield 2042.
EA has confirmed the game is currently slated for a fiscal 2026 release window, meaning it could arrive anytime between April 2025 and March 2026. Given this timeline, we can expect more official reveals in the coming months as EA ramps up promotional efforts. With leaks already surfacing, it may not be long before additional details emerge organically.
