Naoe’s initial quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Before the Fall, tasks players with completing Kuji-kiri to aid her emotional healing. This requires visiting four significant locations to unlock memories from Naoe’s past.
Below are the locations.
The first location lies within the Hideout area, on the eastern side of the map, near a pond.
The second spot is south of the Hideout, situated east of Tennoji Pagoda and north of both Makinoodera Lookout and Makinooedera Temple.
The third location is at Rolling Glen, along a road just northeast of Tennoji Pagoda in Osaka.
The final spot is far west in the Izumi Settsu region, southeast of Nakayama Peak, accessible by heading west from Amagasaki Tenshu.
At each site, players must complete a brief rhythm-based mini-game, pressing four buttons in a specific sequence. Initial onscreen prompts guide you, but they fade, requiring you to master the rhythm independently.
Successfully completing the mini-game unlocks a memory from Naoe’s past, followed by a short playable segment. Each completion grants a Knowledge Point as a reward.
