Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained momentum after reports surfaced online about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged inclusion of "progressive" themes. This led to online attacks against the developers, with attempts to discourage players from supporting the game.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid spreading misinformation found online. He announced that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, following the game's "gold" status achieved in early December. These codes are expected to be released four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers sufficient time to prepare their content. Interestingly, the first "final previews" based on review copies are anticipated just a week later.
