In a detailed roadmap of future projects, Insomniac Games has kept fans eagerly waiting for any new developments on their highly anticipated title, Marvel's Wolverine. During an interview with Variety, Insomniac's Co-Head Chad Dezern expressed enthusiasm about the studio's ongoing projects and ambitious roadmap. However, he remained cautious about sharing specifics on Marvel's Wolverine, stating that while the team is excited, they must hold onto that excitement for now. Dezern neither confirmed nor denied a 2025 release for the game, keeping fans in suspense.

Marvel’s Wolverine First Announced in 2021
Marvel's Wolverine was first unveiled to the public during the PlayStation Showcase 2021, accompanied by a cinematic teaser trailer. Insomniac confirmed that the game is being crafted exclusively for the PlayStation 5. In a 2023 interview with the YouTuber group Kinda Funny, Bryan Intihar, Creative Director of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, revealed that Marvel's Wolverine shares the same universe as Marvel's Spider-Man, designated as "1048." Fans had hoped for crossover events between the two titles, but so far, the only nod to Wolverine in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a suit called "The Best There Is," which Miles Morales can don.

Insomniac Games is set to bring Marvel's Spider-Man 2 to PC on January 30, 2025, as announced during New York Comic-Con 2025. The studio has quashed any rumors of additional story DLCs for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, confirming no new narrative content is planned. However, the PC version will include all updates from the PS5 release, such as new suits, New Game+, and more. Players can choose between the Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions, the latter offering exclusive suits for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
