As a die-hard fan of the Harry Potter series, revisiting the magical world through different formats never gets old. While the movies provide a visual feast, the illustrated editions of the books offer a unique and engaging experience. Although the full set of illustrated books is yet to be completed, fans have something exciting to look forward to: a new interactive edition of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" is set to release in October, and you can preorder it now.
This new edition should not be confused with Jim Kay's illustrated versions. The interactive editions boast stunning illustrations along with innovative paper-engineered elements that literally pop off the page, enhancing your reading experience. Preorders for this captivating book are available at Barnes & Noble and Amazon, with the most significant discount currently offered by the latter.
Out October 14, 2025
This illustrated edition comes packed with 150 full-color illustrations and interactive elements reminiscent of a pop-up book. The artwork for this edition has been crafted by Karl James Mountford, while the intricate papercraft designs were created by Jess Tice-Gilbert. This marks a shift from the previous interactive editions illustrated by MinaLima, which concluded with "The Prisoner of Azkaban." Although the style differs from the earlier editions, this new release is a boon for collectors eager to complete their collections.

The series of books illustrated by Jim Kay currently extends up to the fifth book. However, in 2022, Kay stepped away from the project, leaving the future of "The Half-Blood Prince" and "The Deathly Hallows" in limbo. Despite this, there remains a glimmer of hope that a new illustrator will step in to complete the set, bringing the entire series to life in this beautifully illustrated format.
