The eagerly awaited sequel, Hades 2, is set to arrive on both the Nintendo Switch and the newly announced Nintendo Switch 2 as a timed console exclusive. Although an exact release date remains undisclosed, developer Supergiant has officially confirmed that the game will debut on PC platforms, including Steam and the Epic Games Store, alongside both versions of the Nintendo Switch at the same time later this year.
This news comes as no surprise following the recent Nintendo Direct presentation, where the title's arrival on the enhanced Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed. However, Supergiant has further clarified that the game will also serve as a timed exclusive for the original Nintendo Switch, ensuring fans across both iterations of the platform can enjoy the experience simultaneously.
According to the developers, "Hades II v1.0 will launch simultaneously on our Early Access platforms (Steam and Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch 2, and the original Nintendo Switch." This statement was shared via their official Twitter account on April 8, 2025.
Currently, details regarding the game's transition to other major consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S remain unclear.
