"Guide to Obtaining Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren in WoW"

Apr 15,2025 Author: Sarah

In the expansive world of World of Warcraft, acquiring a unique mount like the Stormcrow, Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren, adds a thrilling dimension to gameplay. This exceptional mount, named after the Siren Isle zone introduced in the World of Warcraft: The War Within expansion, becomes available during a dynamic event known as a Storm. To claim Thrayir, players must navigate through various locales on Siren Isle during these stormy phases to gather five distinct Runekeys. Here's your comprehensive guide to securing this magnificent flying mount.

How to Get Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren in World of Warcraft

To embark on your quest for Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren, you'll need to acquire the following Runekeys:

  • The Whirling Runekey: This key is obtained from the rare spawn enemy, Ksvir the Forgotten, located in the southernmost room of the Forgotten Vault. During a Storm event, visiting the Vault increases the chance of Ksvir spawning, and he almost always drops the Whirling Runekey upon defeat.
  • The Torrential Runekey: Collect seven Torrential Fragments from any enemy around Siren Isle during a Storm phase. Once you have all seven, you can assemble the Torrential Runekey.
  • The Thunderous Runekey: Gather five Thunderous Fragments from any chest found on Siren Isle. These fragments can be obtained even if the area where the chest is located is not currently experiencing a Storm.
  • The Cyclonic Runekey: You can obtain this key either by fishing anywhere on Siren Isle during a Storm phase or as a possible drop from Zek’ul the Shipbreaker in the Deadfin Mire.
  • The Turbulent Runekey: Construct this key by finding three Turbulent Fragments at specific spots near Kul Tiran ghosts on the island:
    • Behind the abandoned inn, dig in the garden.
    • Inside a cave in the Rotting Hole zone, where the ghost is cowering.
    • Inside the Spirit-Scarred Cave, where the ghost offers the fragment as a tribute.

Once you've gathered all five Runekeys, return to the Forgotten Vault area of Siren Isle, but only during the Seafury Tempest phase. Visiting during any other phase won't allow you to perform the ritual needed to use the keys. Upon entering the Forgotten Vault, proceed to the eastern room on the map.

Inside this room, you'll find Thrayir's body on a platform surrounded by five runestones. Insert each corresponding Runekey into the designated slots, triggering a quest titled "Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren." Complete the quest, and the majestic Stormcrow mount will be yours to claim from your inventory.
