How to Unlock the Photograph Emote in Final Fantasy XIV (Patch 7.18)
Thanks to an exciting collaboration with Fujifilm's Instax, *Final Fantasy XIV* has introduced the Photograph emote in its 7.18 patch. This charming addition lets players simulate taking photos anywhere in Eorzea, adding a unique touch to your in-game adventures. Unlike many other emotes that require completing quests or making purchases, the Photograph emote is available to all players for free, as soon as you update to the latest patch.
To unlock this emote, simply ensure you have downloaded the latest Patch 7.18 update. There are no level or expansion purchase requirements; the emote will be ready for use in your Emote menu upon logging in.

How to Use the Photograph Emote in FFXIV
To use the Photograph emote, navigate to the Emote menu under the "Social" tab. Scroll to the "General" tab and find the "Photograph" emote near the bottom of the list. Select it, and your character will mimic taking a Polaroid picture with a Fujifilm-style camera. For easy access, consider adding it to your Favorites if you plan on using it frequently.
Although the Photograph emote isn't continuous and isn't ideal for "AFK" scenarios, its versatility shines through. You can use it in various settings, from underwater in locales like the Ruby Sea to atop mounts, whether grounded or flying.
