Genshin Impact is set to launch its next major update, Version 5.5, titled "Day of the Flame's Return," on March 26th, promising an exciting expansion in the Natlan region. This update isn't just about advancing the storyline; it brings significant gameplay enhancements, including the long-awaited controller support for Android devices. You can learn more about the supported controllers here.
What Does Genshin Impact Version 5.5 Have in Store?
Prepare to explore the southwestern part of Natlan, where you'll encounter a new tribe, the Great Volcano of Tollan, and new characters. This volcano is home to ancient secrets and a long-dormant sacred city, with magma stirring beneath its surface. Your mission will involve unraveling the mysteries of the "Flamelord's Blessing" and the "Little One," while interacting with the Collective of Plenty, a tribe that values fitness and strength as a way of life.
Two new characters, Varesa and Iansan, will be introduced in this update. Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst user, offers unique support by restoring Phlogiston after consuming food. Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm wielder and one of Natlan's six heroes, combines offense with support capabilities, providing continuous healing when a teammate triggers a Nightsoul Burst.
The first phase of Version 5.5's Event Wishes will feature Varesa and Iansan, along with reruns for Xianyun, Xilonen, and Venti. Check out the exciting additions below.
The Bloomflower Trials Are Making a Comeback
In this update, you'll collaborate with Mavuika, Ifa, and other Natlan allies to aid a sick Saurian. Additionally, a fun mini-game called "Saurian Treasure Seeker" will challenge you to guide baby Saurians through obstacles to collect treasures. By participating, you can invite Ororon for free.
On the challenge front, a formidable new boss, the Lava Dragon Statue, awaits in the volcanic fissures. You can download the game from the Google Play Store and dive into this massive update as soon as it's released.
