Galar Pokemon to Join Pokemon GO in New Event

Get ready, Pokemon GO enthusiasts! The much-anticipated debut of Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight is set to take place during the Steely Resolve event on January 21, 2025. This event marks a thrilling addition to the roster of Galar Pokemon available in the game, fulfilling the long wait of the community eager to encounter the Corviknight evolutionary line.

The excitement began with the launch of Pokemon GO's Dual Destiny Season in December 2024, where a new loading screen teased the arrival of Rookidee and Corviknight. This sparked curiosity and anticipation among players, as these Flying/Steel-type Pokemon had not been officially announced for the game until now.

The Steely Resolve event will run from January 21 at 10 am to January 26 at 8 pm local time, providing ample opportunity for players to meet the trio for the first time. Alongside this debut, the event will feature a new segment of the Dual Destiny seasonal Special Research, offering fresh rewards. Players can also take advantage of Magnetic Lure Modules to attract Pokemon like Onix, Beldum, Shieldon, and Rookidee, and use Charged TMs to help Shadow Pokemon forget the Charged Attack Frustration. Niantic has planned increased spawns for ten different monsters, including Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, and Carbink, enhancing the event's appeal.

The Steely Resolve event promises a rich experience with Mega raids and one- and five-star raids featuring Deoxys Attack and Defense Forme, and Dialga. Trainers can hatch 2km eggs to encounter Shieldon, Carbink, Mareanie, or Rookidee. As with other Pokemon GO events, players can expect new Field Research tasks, $5 Paid Timed Research, Showcases, and web store offers. Pokemon like Machoke, Croconaw, Wooper, Lickitung, Corvisquire, and Paldean Wooper, when evolved during the event, will learn special attacks.

The year kicks off with a bang for Pokemon GO players, featuring several exciting events.
