Framed for Murder at Girls' Boarding School: Was It You?

May 03,2025 Author: Joseph

Why would anyone consider sending their child to boarding school? Beyond the typical challenges of peer pressure, loneliness, and an air of elitism, there's the added drama of attempted murder! At least, that's the scenario in Expelled!, the latest release from inkle, the creative minds behind Overboard.

In Expelled!, you step into the shoes of Verity Amersham, a seemingly innocent schoolgirl at Miss Mulligatawney's School for Promising Girls set in 1922. When a prefect is mysteriously pushed out of a window, Verity finds herself accused of attempted murder. Your mission? Clear your name within the span of a single school day, as characters move and act independently around you, adding a thrilling race against time.

You can choose to clear your name honorably by uncovering the true culprit, or take a darker path by framing someone else or resorting to brute force with your hockey stick. The choice is yours, and the game's dynamic nature ensures that every decision counts.

Expelled! Gameplay ScreenshotIt's easy to recommend Expelled!, especially given the glowing review by Catherine Dellosa. Inkle, known for my all-time favorite mobile game, 80 Days, and the compelling murder-mystery visual novel Overboard!, has once again struck gold. While Verity might seem less sinister than some of inkle's past protagonists, you have the freedom to play her as the straight-laced hero, a cunning framer, or even a teenage vigilante. And, there's always the tantalizing hint that Verity might not be as innocent as she appears.

To discover the truth behind Verity's predicament, you'll need to play Expelled! for yourself. And if you're eager to stay updated on the best upcoming releases, you're in the right place. We've already compiled our list of the most anticipated games for 2025, ready for you to explore!
