Fortnite's Limited Time Mode: The Getaway Guide

Fortnite

If you're eager to dive into the thrilling heist action of *Fortnite*, The Getaway is a Limited Time Mode you won't want to miss. Introduced initially in Chapter 1 Season 5 and making a comeback in Chapter 6 Season 2, this mode offers a unique twist on the classic *Fortnite* gameplay. Here’s everything you need to know about playing The Getaway, including its duration.

Playing The Getaway in Fortnite

Jumping into The Getaway is straightforward. Launch *Fortnite* on your preferred platform, navigate to the Lobby, and head over to the Discover tab. You should spot The Getaway listed there; simply hit the Play button to start queuing for a match. If you're having trouble finding it, use the search bar located in the top left corner of the Lobby, type in "The Getaway," and it should appear instantly.

What Is The Getaway?

The Getaway transforms *Fortnite* into a high-stakes heist scenario where players aim to snatch a jewel from the map and make a swift escape using a Getaway Van. This PvP mode pits you against other teams vying for the same prize. Victory goes to the first three teams that successfully secure a jewel and escape, though you can also win by eliminating rival teams. A notable feature of this iteration is its availability in Zero Build mode, perfect for those who prefer to skip the building aspect. You can join in on the action in Duos, Squads, Unranked, and Ranked formats.

The Getaway Start and End Dates

The Getaway is currently accessible in *Fortnite*, but mark your calendar—the mode will conclude on April 1, at 12 a.m. Eastern Time. It's a great opportunity to play and earn XP that contributes to your Battle Pass progression, so don't miss out on this limited-time experience.

That's the scoop on how to enjoy The Getaway in *Fortnite*. For more tips and insights on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
