The Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests in *Fortnite* Chapter 6, Season 2 are a thrilling challenge for any player. The Big Dill challenge has already stirred up excitement, but there's more to conquer, including how to collect mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser in *Fortnite*.
The Plasma Burst Laser is a standout new item in the Lawless season, perfect for breaking into the Vaults scattered across the map. As an Epic item, it's not easy to find, but your best bet is to check POIs with Vaults, like Crime City, which is rich with Go Bags and Chests. Alternatively, you can purchase the Plasma Burst Laser at two Black Markets for 600 Gold each. The Black Market near Magic Mosses is particularly convenient, as it's close to Joss' lab where you'll need to analyze your mineral samples next.
Once you've secured the Plasma Burst Laser, your next task is to find a destructible stone structure. Not just any stone will suffice; you need to locate a breakable one. The Escapist discovered that hitting permanent stone structures won't yield mineral samples. Instead, aim for a piece of stone that you can destroy with your Pickaxe.
With your target in sight, unleash the Plasma Burst Laser on the stone until it crumbles. Don't expect the mineral samples to appear in your inventory immediately. Instead, look for a small piece of rock that drops on the ground after the structure is destroyed. Interact with this rock to complete the Quest.
Once you've collected the samples, you won't have to travel far to return to Joss' lab. The game will guide you to the specific spot inside her lab where you can analyze the samples. After interacting with the designated area, you'll earn additional XP and complete the Wanted: Joss Outlaw Quests, unlocking new items to enhance your *Fortnite* experience.
That's the complete guide on how to collect mineral samples using the Plasma Burst Laser in *Fortnite* Chapter 6. For more exciting content, stay tuned for all the rumored collaborations in the Lawless season.
*Fortnite is available to play on various platforms, including the Meta Quest 2 and 3.*
