Konami and FIFA's unexpected esports collaboration: The FIFAe Virtual World Cup 2024! This surprising partnership, following years of competition between FIFA and PES, will see Konami's eFootball host the prestigious tournament.
In-Game Qualifiers Now Live on eFootball!
The tournament features two divisions: Console (PS4 and PS5) and Mobile. Eighteen nations are vying for the final spots: Brazil, Japan, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, England, France, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Morocco, Netherlands, Poland, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey.
The three-stage in-game qualifiers run from October 10th to 20th. National Nomination Phases for the 18 countries follow from October 28th to November 3rd.
The offline final round will conclude in late 2024; the exact date remains unannounced. Even if your country isn't among the 18, you can still participate in the qualifiers up to Round 3, earning rewards like 50 eFootball coins, 30,000 XP, and other bonuses.

The Unexpected FIFA x Konami Alliance
This collaboration is a surprising turn of events after years of rivalry. Recall that EA and FIFA severed ties in 2022 after a decade-long partnership, reportedly due to FIFA's demand for a significantly increased licensing fee of $1 billion every four years – a substantial increase from the previous $150 million.
Following the split, EA released EA Sports FC 24 in 2023. Now, FIFA has partnered with Konami's eFootball for the FIFAe World Cup 2024.
