Elliot Page Stars in Upcoming "Beyond: Two Souls" TV Series

May 14,2025 Author: Zachary

The acclaimed story-driven adventure game Beyond: Two Souls, developed by PlayStation and Quantic Dream, is set to be reimagined as a television series. Elliot Page, who starred in the original game, has spearheaded this exciting project through his production company, Pageboy Productions. According to Deadline, Pageboy has secured the rights from Quantic Dream to transform the game into a TV series that aims to preserve its non-linear storytelling. While the project is still in its early stages, Page and his team are committed to creating a fresh yet faithful adaptation that will appeal to both fans and new audiences. Specifics such as casting and release dates remain under wraps.

Elliot Page shared with Deadline that his experience filming Beyond: Two Souls was one of the most challenging and rewarding of his career. He emphasized the game's narrative richness and emotional depth as a perfect foundation for the TV series. "We want to create a unique vision of the characters and their journeys that resonates with fans and newcomers," Page stated.

Matt Jordan Smitt, head of development and production at Pageboy, further explained their approach, noting their intention to "honor the game’s legacy while inviting fresh perspectives." He highlighted the themes of survival and the impact of split-second decisions as central to their storytelling.

Beyond: Two Souls originally debuted on the PlayStation 3 in 2013, later expanding to the PlayStation 4 in 2015 and PC in 2019. Directed and penned by Quantic Dream's David Cage, the game follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities linked to a spirit named Aiden. The game is celebrated for its narrative structure and the involvement of high-profile actors like Page and Willem Dafoe.

David Cage has expressed his enthusiasm about working with Page again on the TV adaptation. "I was blown away by his acting performance in the game, and I couldn’t think of anyone else to tell this story with the same passion on another medium," Cage remarked. He emphasized the significance of Beyond: Two Souls to its global fanbase and his confidence in Page's ability to bring a unique vision to the television format.
