EA confirmed the release window of the new Battlefield

Electronic Arts has confirmed a pre-April 2026 release window for the next Battlefield game, according to their recent financial report. While industry journalist Tom Henderson predicts an October or November 2025 launch based on EA's historical release patterns, EA hasn't offered a more precise date.

Development is underway at four of EA's internal studios, with significant playtesting planned. A closed beta program is already underway, allowing participants to provide valuable feedback on key game elements, informing development before launch.

This announcement also impacts the future of Need for Speed. Vince Zampella previously indicated that a new NFS title isn't imminent, prioritizing the development of this new Battlefield installment.
