Funcom announced on their official website on April 25 that they will be dedicating an entire weekend to Dune: Awakening’s global beta test. Alongside this announcement, they unveiled a captivating new trailer showcasing the game’s cinematic cutscenes and story snippets.

The beta test is designed to accommodate a significant number of new players and, unlike previous closed betas, it will not be under an NDA. This means players are free to share their experiences and even stream them online. According to the announcement, "With access to the first 20 hours of the game and most of Act 1 of the story, you will get a taste of both spice and story."
