Get ready for an exciting weekend with Dune: Awakening as they host a large-scale beta event complete with a global LAN party. Here's everything you need to know about this upcoming event and how you can secure your spot in the Beta weekend.
The beta test is designed to accommodate a significant number of new players and, unlike previous closed betas, it will not be under an NDA. This means players are free to share their experiences and even stream them online. According to the announcement, "With access to the first 20 hours of the game and most of Act 1 of the story, you will get a taste of both spice and story."
To participate in this Beta weekend, players can wishlist and request access to the game via Dune: Awakening’s Steam page, or secure Beta codes during the game’s global broadcast on May 10. Stay tuned for more detailed information about the beta soon.
Funcom is also hosting a Global Dune: Awakening LAN party, broadcast live from both London and PAX East on May 10 at 12 PM PDT / 3 PM EDT / 9 PM CEST / 8 PM BST on their official Twitch channel. Below is the timetable to help you catch the stream at the right time in your region:
During the event, the hosts will travel to different locations around the world to highlight players engaging with the game. Lead developers will be on hand to discuss the game, and content creators will compete in thrilling in-game challenges.
Moreover, tens of thousands of Beta keys will be distributed during the broadcast, offering immediate access to the Beta weekend. Just a few days prior, the developers will host their third livestream, focusing on the game’s base-building mechanics.
Dune: Awakening is slated for release on June 10, 2025, for PC, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S releases to follow at a yet-to-be-announced date. Keep up with the latest updates on the game by checking out our article below!
