RGG Studio invites fans to participate in a special voting initiative for Like A Dragon’s 20th anniversary. Discover how you can help shape the future of Like A Dragon merchandise and get the latest updates on Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
December 2025 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Like A Dragon (LAD) franchise. To kick off the celebration, Ryu Ga Gotoku (RGG) Studio has launched a fan-voted merchandise project that allows players to choose which in-game items should be transformed into real-world collectibles.
The poll features a total of 100 unique items, including quirky options like lingerie, incense, mahjong tiles, a karaoke microphone, a luxury lighter, limited-edition sake, themed pillows, Kiryu’s iconic dragon mask, and more nostalgic references to the series' storied legacy. According to RGG’s official site, the top-voted item will be officially produced within two years.
Voting began on February 8, 2025 and runs through March 21, 2025. Fans are allowed one vote per day. After the final results are tallied, a follow-up survey will be released to gather fan input on the design direction of the winning merchandise.
In a December 8, 2024 social media post commemorating the franchise's 19th anniversary, RGG Studio first teased its upcoming plans leading up to the 20th anniversary. In the celebratory video, Director and Executive Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama expressed his heartfelt thanks to fans for their continued support over the years.
To launch the milestone year, RGG is set to release Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on February 20, 2025. Following this, Yokoyama hinted at various events and announcements planned throughout the year, including the ongoing merchandise voting campaign.
Since the initial announcement, no further details have been shared regarding other potential titles or events tied to the 20th anniversary. However, looking back at the 10th-anniversary celebrations—which included remakes such as Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami—many fans speculate that similar surprises may be on the horizon.
On February 10, 2025, RGG Studio revealed the full PC specifications for Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. The game recommends an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or any comparable or newer graphics card, making it accessible for most modern gaming setups.
Given that the title will also launch on last-gen consoles such as PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the PC requirements remain relatively modest. Additionally, RGG confirmed that the game is fully verified for Steam Deck compatibility.
SEGA recently published the story trailer for the game on YouTube, offering a glimpse into Majima’s seafaring adventures narrated by Pirate King Raymond Law, voiced by professional wrestler Samoa Joe.
Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii launches globally on February 20, 2025 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC platforms. Visit our [ttpp] dedicated page for Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii for more in-depth coverage and updates.
