The *Dragon Ball Daima* finale delivers an explosive showdown between Gomah and Goku's flashy new transformation. While many fans anticipated this climactic episode to finally clarify Super Saiyan 4's existence, the resolution might leave some scratching their heads.
Episode 19 brings dramatic changes as Glorio's wish restores our heroes to their adult forms. Vegeta gives Gomah everything he's got with Super Saiyan 3, but falls short - forcing Goku to step up. Drawing upon Neva's mysterious gift from previous episodes, Goku unleashes what he casually calls "Super Saiyan 4."
This powerful new form lets Goku trade devastating blows with Gomah throughout the finale. During their clash, Goku's legendary Kamehameha punches clean through Gomah's body and the entire Demon Realm itself. The attack creates an opening for Piccolo to land a critical hit, though ultimately Majin Kuu delivers the finishing blow that liberates the Demon Realm.
Many expected Dragon Ball Daima to reveal Super Saiyan 4 as some Demon Realm-exclusive power or Neva-bestowed ability. Surprisingly, Goku simply tells Vegeta he attained this form through good old-fashioned training after defeating Buu. With no memory alterations involved, this explanation leaves Daima's canon status intriguingly ambiguous.
Super Saiyan 4's sudden appearance creates major continuity questions regarding Daima's relationship with Super. Would Goku really neglect using such overwhelming power against Beerus during Earth's most desperate hour? While Goku might forget, Vegeta certainly wouldn't - especially after being visibly frustrated at falling behind yet again.
A subtle hint in the post-credits scene suggests potential resolutions. The revelation of two remaining Evil Third Eyes leaves the door open for future arcs where these artifacts could fall into dangerous hands. This setup could potentially reintroduce Super Saiyan 4 while explaining its subsequent disappearance. Without such developments, Dragon Ball may have created a paradox that will fuel endless fan debates for years to come.
This explains Dragon Ball Daima's peculiar solution to the Super Saiyan 4 mystery. For those wanting more, we've got details on the anime's opening theme too.
