Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has officially launched into its third season of year six, named "Burden of Truth." This thrilling new season beckons agents to immerse themselves further into the gripping narrative, tracking down Kelso across Washington, D.C. with the help of her cryptic clues. As players advance, they'll uncover more about Lau's recruitment process and the mysterious "Cassandra" mission, deepening their engagement with the game's lore.
A highlight of this season is the introduction of the Rogue Momentum system, revolutionizing combat dynamics by promoting aggressive playstyles. Players gain momentum through defeating enemies and accomplishing combat objectives. While standard kills contribute to a moderate increase, the momentum meter surges with critical hits, skill combinations, multi-kills, and vanquishing elite foes. As players accumulate momentum, they unlock enhanced abilities, including faster movement, reduced reload times, amplified damage output, and heightened firing rates. When momentum reaches its zenith, the Overcharge feature activates, significantly reducing ability cooldowns and empowering players to dominate the battlefield.
Alongside the enhanced combat mechanics, "Burden of Truth" introduces a range of new weaponry and gear. Players who own the Warlords of New York DLC and Year 1 Pass benefit from an expanded inventory with an additional 50 slots. Standout items include the exotic SMG Oxpecker and the tactical Exodus gloves. Furthermore, two new brands, Refactor and Shiny Monkey, offer innovative gear choices, while named weapons like the Rusty Classic RPK-74 and Goalie FAL provide unique talents that enable players to fine-tune their builds. These exciting additions are available across all platforms, and Ubisoft is keen to receive player feedback to enhance upcoming updates.
