How To Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To embark on this feline adventure, you'll need to travel to the Omi region, typically accessible around the midpoint of the story. Ensure your characters are well-prepared and powerful enough to tackle the challenges ahead. Head northeast to reach Omi.
Your destination is Lake Biwa, a prominent body of water in the central part of the region. To reach the island, it's advisable to find a boat. You can secure one from the settlements of Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, you can swim across the lake.
Focus on the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, just northwest of Azuchi. Navigate to this location to discover Okishima Island, where you can find a Kakurega to rest. You'll notice plenty of fish drying near the docks, indicating a plentiful food source for certain animals.

To be surrounded by cats on Okishima Island, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't forget to pet them to add these charming creatures to your collection for use in the Hideout. Keep an eye out for rare kittens, which are particularly elusive elsewhere.
While most Leaps of Faith unlock new areas on your map, the true treasure of Okishima is its feline inhabitants. After observing the surroundings and landing in the haystack, there isn't much else to do on the island except to enjoy the company of the cats. You'll also revisit the island later in Yasuke’s story, adding another layer of excitement to your journey.
