Blizzard has unveiled the details of Diablo IV Season 7, Season of Witchcraft, launching January 21st. Since its 2023 release, Diablo IV has received consistent updates, seasonal content, and a major expansion, with more planned for this acclaimed action-RPG.
Seasonal content keeps players engaged between expansions. Season of Witchcraft promises to be a significant update, marking the start of "Chapter 2" following the conclusion of Season 6's "Chapter 1."
Season of Witchcraft commences Tuesday, January 21st, at 10 AM PST. Players will collaborate with the Witches of Hawezar to recover stolen heads from the Tree of Whispers. Mastering witchcraft powers enhances player strength, while Occult Gems grant new abilities, some reminiscent of Diablo III. These powers prove crucial in battles against mutated Headrotten Bosses, rewarding players with valuable loot, including Occult Gems.
Season 7 also introduces quality-of-life improvements, notably a revamped armory for saving and swapping loadouts. Players can earn new seasonal rewards through unique and legendary items, unlock the Raven pet via the Season Journey, and complete the new Battle Pass.
Vessel of Hatred expansion owners gain access to three exclusive new Runes during Season 7. Blizzard has confirmed expansion-exclusive seasonal content, potentially expanding in future seasons. For the complete Season 7 experience, owning the Vessel of Hatred expansion is recommended.
