In a Fangamer newsletter, Deltarune's creator Toby Fox unveiled that the Switch 2 edition will feature a unique room that leverages the mouse functionality of the new Joy-Cons. Fox shared, "So, we made a very small SPECIAL ROOM which takes advantage of using MOUSE CONTROLS ON TWO CONTROLLERS AT ONCE, only possible on the Nintendo Switch 2!!"

For those without a Switch 2, fear not—the special room will still be accessible, albeit with a different control scheme. Plus, players can seamlessly import their save files from the Nintendo Switch demo of Deltarune 1 and 2 to the new version, ensuring a smooth transition.

Deltarune Future Chapters Will Be Free

In the same newsletter, Fox revealed that Deltarune will be priced at $24.99. This price includes Chapters 1 and 2, alongside the new releases of Chapters 3 and 4. While Chapters 1 and 2 were originally free when released in 2018 and 2021, respectively, it had been announced that future chapters would be paid. However, in a delightful twist, Fox confirmed that all upcoming Chapters will be available as free updates. "But, it's my hope that as we complete more Chapters, you'll feel like this game was a super super super super good deal," Fox stated.

Additionally, the game's soundtrack will be available on Steam for $14.99. With the release of Chapters 3 and 4, the soundtrack will feature over 150 songs, and future chapters will see even more tracks added for free. Deltarune is shaping up to be an incredible value, offering fans a wealth of content at no additional cost beyond the initial purchase.
