Dell Outlet is currently offering incredible deals on Like New (Refurbished) and Scratch & Dent Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PCs. These systems are priced significantly lower than new models, yet they come with **the same warranty as purchasing new**. The standout deals are on Alienware desktops featuring high-end GPUs such as the RTX 4080, 4080 Super, and 4090. These GPUs are becoming increasingly scarce, and with early feedback suggesting the upcoming RTX 5000 series may not justify the cost for PC gamers, the RTX 4000 series remains a top recommendation for Nvidia GPUs.
Dell's certified refurbished systems undergo a thorough refurbishing process. These pre-owned products might show minor cosmetic imperfections that do not impact performance, or they may appear brand new. Crucially, these PCs come with the same one-year manufacturer's warranty as brand new units.

The RTX 4090 is the pinnacle of the 40 series GPUs. In his review, Chris Coke praised its performance, stating, "The RTX 4090 may be large and pricey, but it absolutely demolishes the competition... With its superior hardware specs and DLSS 3 AI enhancements, the $1,599 price tag seems justified for the unparalleled frame rates it delivers." Additionally, its 24GB RAM makes it a top choice for AI applications.
NVIDIA's next generation of GPUs, the RTX 5000 series, is slated for release starting late January. While the RTX 5090 promises superior performance, it comes with a hefty $2,000 price tag for the Founder's Edition at launch, and availability might be limited. The RTX 5080 will launch at $999, but may also face stock issues. We'll soon benchmark this card, but it will feature less VRAM than the 4090 (16GB vs 24GB), and it's unlikely to dethrone the 4090 as the leading high-end GPU.

The GeForce RTX 4080 Super, an enhanced version of the RTX 4080, is Nvidia's second most powerful 40 series GPU, outperforming AMD's Radeon RX 7900 XTX in DLSS and ray tracing capabilities. In her review, Jacqueline Thomas noted, "For those seeking a 4K graphics card around $1,000, the RTX 4080 Super is the best option available. This is the RTX 4080 that should have been released in 2022."
The R16 is Alienware's flagship 2024 desktop PC design. Although Dell unveiled a new Area 51 chassis at CES 2025, it closely resembles the R16 in appearance and design. The R16 is 40% smaller in volume than previous models, featuring an efficient airflow system that draws air through side intake vents over the GPU area and a 120mm front fan, expelling it via a 120mm rear fan and two 120mm top fans. Most R16 systems include an all-in-one liquid cooler with a 240mm radiator mounted atop the case.
For those seeking a prebuilt gaming PC, Dell stands out as one of the top gaming brands we recommend. Alienware gaming desktops boast an extensive range of options within a custom chassis. In recent years, Alienware gaming laptops have been revamped to be slimmer and lighter, yet they maintain their powerful performance. Dell's consistent build quality, readily available inventory, frequent sales, and excellent customer service are why it tops our list for gaming laptops and PCs.
