Attention all Dead Cells fans! The thrilling journey of free updates for Dead Cells is drawing to a close, but not before delivering two final updates that promise to keep the game fresh and exciting. The last updates, Clean Cut and The End is Near, are now available on Android, marking the end of an era for this beloved game. While the updates will cease, the game itself will continue to be playable, leaving a lasting legacy of action-packed adventures.
What’s in Store?
The final updates introduce a host of new features that add a deliciously cursed twist to the gameplay. First off, you'll get your hands on four new weapons, including the intriguing giant Sewing Scissors and the deadly Misericorde sword. The Misericorde is particularly interesting as it delivers massive critical damage to enemies with less than half health, but beware—failing to finish them off will curse you.
Another new addition is the Anathema, a heavy-ranged weapon that explodes on impact but curses you if it hits anything. For those looking to clear curses, the new skill Indulgence unleashes a beam of light that deals massive damage and can help alleviate some of your curses.
The updates also bring new game modes to the table, such as Speedrun and Boss Rush DIY, offering fresh challenges for seasoned players. Additionally, you can now choose from 40 new heads and swap them at will with the help of a new NPC, allowing for even more customization.
New Mutations and Enemies Too
Alongside the new weapons and modes, the final updates introduce intriguing new mutations. The Cursed Flask lets you use your health flask without consuming a charge, while Damned Vigor gives you a few seconds to kill an enemy and save yourself from death. If you're feeling bold, Demonic Strength boosts your damage when you're cursed.
New enemies also join the fray, each with their own unique curse-related mechanics. The Sore Loser sticks to you and curses you upon its demise. The Curser shoots guided cursed skulls and slashes at you if you get too close. And beware the Doom Bringer, who can stack curses and potentially kill you outright if she reaches 50 curses.
