Koei Tecmo has unveiled a captivating new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, an exciting addition to the Team Ninja's iconic fighting game series. This romance game is currently in development for PS5, PS4, and PC, with a slated release date of March 27. Fans in Asia can look forward to a special "global version" that supports gameplay with English text.
In Venus Vacation PRISM, players can indulge in a variety of mini-games, switch character personas, and soak up the tropical island ambiance. The developers are keen on offering numerous avenues for players to forge connections with the heroines and dive deep into a rich, romantic narrative. This title represents an innovative departure for enthusiasts of the Dead or Alive series, blending a fresh gaming experience with the franchise's distinctive flair.
However, even the most innovative ventures have their boundaries. Koei Tecmo, the publisher behind the Dead or Alive series, annually removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and up to 2,000-3,000 images featuring the fighting game's characters. The Dead or Alive series is celebrated not only for its engaging gameplay but also for its beloved heroines, often seen battling in swimwear. While fans express their affection through "adult" fan art, the developers are firm in their stance against this trend.
