The game introduces you to Madlantis, a pirate sanctuary hosting intense Naval Coliseum battles. After a crew betrayal, Goro must upgrade his ship and recruit a crew to compete. This requires earning $10,000 for ship repairs and recruiting five crew members to advance the main story.

Nickelle Kidman
A playful nod to Nicole Kidman, Nickelle, an actress found near Honolulu beach, joins with a simple two-star crew rating. This is easily achieved by completing early main story missions and engaging in treasure hunts, thug fights, and sea battles.
Hammerhead
Located on the second floor of Honolulu's shopping center, Hammerhead requires a quick brawl. His relatively low health makes this a swift recruitment. Many recruits require combat, proving an efficient method for early-game progress.
Kenzo
This dockhand in Honolulu's beach area joins for raw materials (easily gathered during exploration) or a small sum of money, readily earned from treasure. Kenzo is a valuable addition, easily acquired with readily available resources.
Lucas
Found in Madlantis, Lucas is another combat recruit. His fight, while slightly tougher than Hammerhead's due to a melee weapon, presents little challenge after previous encounters.
Obispo
Obispo joins after five meals purchased at his Honolulu establishment. Engage in nearby battles to lower health, then dine to trigger the recruitment process. While slightly more involved, it remains easier than other recruits with stricter requirements.
While numerous other crew members await, these five offer the fastest path to story progression. As challenges increase, focus on recruiting higher-stat crew members.
