Embarking on your *Assassin's Creed Mirage* journey through feudal Japan means more than just eliminating targets as a samurai or shinobi. This guide helps you complete all legendary Sumi-E paintings, unlocking the "A Rare Occurrence" trophy and achievement.

What Are Legendary Sumi-E in Assassin's Creed Mirage?

These are rare ancient animal paintings that Naoe or Yasuke can create. When nearby, a painting icon appears on your compass and map. Crouch, sneak up, hold L2/LT, and the painting is complete. However, legendary Sumi-E don't appear on the map, making them more challenging to find. Five exist, with availability varying by season.

All Legendary Sumi-E Locations in Assassin's Creed Mirage

Legendary Tanuki – Summer, Daytime

Find this Sumi-E in Omi's Shigaraki Hamlet, within the Shimmering Fields, during summer daytime. Numerous Tanuki statues mark the area. Follow the upward path; the Tanuki is in a clearing.

Legendary Grey Heron – Winter, Daytime

Locate the Grey Heron in Wakasa's Lake Suigetsu area during winter daytime. Head to the island cluster west of the lake. Dismount at a distance, approach carefully, and complete the Sumi-E.

Legendary Macaque – All Seasons, Nighttime

Travel to Yamashiro's Little Leaf Glade and the Sarumaru Shrine near the mountains. At night, climb to the shrine's top to find the three wise monkeys.

Legendary Silver Fox – Autumn, Nighttime

In Kii's Nakahechi Route, find the Kamimisu Inari Shrine (with fox statues) during autumn nighttime. The Silver Fox is at the cliff's edge.

Legendary Deer – Spring, Nighttime

Go to Yamato's Yoshino region (near Mountain Blossom Temple). Head east to Sakura Meadows. The Deer is in a clearing at the top of the slopes.

Note: Animals may not always spawn, even at the correct location and time. Try fast traveling and returning to improve your chances.
