Firaxis Games, the developers behind Civ VII, have shared their roadmap, outlining four new content drops planned for March. Days before the game's release, they detailed the early and late March updates, categorized into Content Collections (paid DLCs), Free Updates, and Events & Challenges. March's offerings include:

Looking beyond March, Firaxis teased even more content: two additional leaders, four new civilizations, and four world wonders, along with fresh events and challenges. While release dates for this content remain unannounced, players can anticipate its arrival later in the year. Further content releases are also planned for October 2025 and beyond.
The developers also acknowledged several planned features that didn't make the initial launch:
- Adding team support to multiplayer games.
- Increasing the multiplayer player count to eight.
- Allowing players to select starting and ending ages.
- Introducing a wider variety of map types.
- Adding hotseat multiplayer functionality.
These updates are currently in development, with dedicated teams working to bring them to players as soon as possible, although release dates are yet to be determined.
