Classic JRPG Chrono Trigger is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and Square Enix has exciting plans to honor this milestone. Dive in to discover what's planned for this iconic game's birthday bash!
The timeless JRPG, Chrono Trigger, marks its 30th anniversary since its debut on the Super Famicom in 1995. Square Enix Japan announced this milestone on their official X (Twitter) account, describing the game as a "masterpiece that transcends generations." This legendary title was a collaborative effort by industry giants Yuji Horii (Dragon Quest), Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball), and Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy).
To celebrate this significant anniversary and show appreciation to the fans, Square Enix has promised a series of projects over the next year that will "go beyond the world of the game." While specifics remain under wraps, fans are encouraged to follow the official Square Enix and ChronoTriggerPR X (Twitter) accounts for the latest updates.
In the meantime, fans have something immediate to look forward to: a special live stream dedicated to the enchanting music of Chrono Trigger. The Chrono Trigger Music Special Live Stream is scheduled for March 14th, starting at 7 PM PT / 10 PM ET and running until March 15th at 4 AM PT / 7 AM ET. You can catch this musical celebration on the Square Enix Music YouTube Channel.
