Sony Pictures has officially announced the highly anticipated Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc release date, setting its arrival in US theaters for October 29, 2025. During its CinemaCon presentation, Sony revealed it had secured worldwide theatrical rights (excluding Japan) to bring this adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto's beloved series to global audiences this fall. While US fans will have to wait until late October, over 80 other countries will see its debut on September 24, 2025. In Japan, Toho will handle its release starting September 19, 2025.
This cinematic event marks the continuation of the story following the success of the MAPPA-produced anime series, which premiered in 2022. The film serves as a direct sequel and follows Denji, a young man who forms a pact with Pochita, a Chainsaw Devil dog, gaining the ability to unleash chainsaws from various parts of his body. As he evolves beyond his Chainsaw Man persona, audiences will witness a thrilling new chapter.
One of the highlights of Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is the introduction of Reze, a pivotal character from the original manga. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and penned by Hiroshi Seko, the film reunites the entire voice cast from the anime to reprise their iconic roles.
