The ID@Xbox showcase today brought a delightful surprise for fans of the trickster Jimbo, with an exciting announcement that the popular card game Balatro is now available on Xbox Game Pass. Starting today, players can dive into the addictive card-slinging action without any additional cost, making it even easier to get hooked on Balatro's unique gameplay.
Alongside this announcement, the showcase revealed that Balatro will receive another "Friends of Jimbo" update, introducing a range of new face card customizations. The trailer showcased exciting new additions, including themes from Bugsnax, Civilization, Assassin's Creed, Slay the Princess, Friday the 13th, and Fallout. These cosmetic updates add a fun layer of personalization to the game, allowing players to showcase their favorite franchises within Balatro's world.
Previous "Friends of Jimbo" updates have enriched the game with cosmetics from popular titles like The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, Among Us, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Vampire Survivors, and Stardew Valley. This marks the fourth such update, and while these updates are purely cosmetic, they continue to enhance the game's appeal without altering its core mechanics.
With Balatro now accessible on Xbox Game Pass, fans can immediately enjoy the latest card game craze and explore the new "Friends of Jimbo" customizations. It's a perfect time to indulge in the game's strategic depth and quirky charm, all while paying homage to Jimbo's mischievous spirit.
