Two exciting Pokémon from the Galar region are making their debut in Pokémon Go this month, promising both sweetness and firepower. From April 24th to 29th, the Sweet Discoveries event introduces the adorable Dragon/Grass-type Applin. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve into Flapple, or Sweet Apples for Appletun. You can find these apples in the wild, particularly around Mossy Lures, which may also trigger Applin encounters.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, keep an eye out for wild spawns like Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Engage in Field Research and hatch Eggs for chances to encounter themed Pokémon such as Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research offers both free and paid paths to obtain Sweet and Tart Apples. Opting for the paid version grants additional Mossy Lure Modules and more Applin encounters.
Don’t miss out on the Applin Headband and Apron available in the shop, and participate in PokéStop Showcases to showcase your themed Pokémon. For those who prefer power over sweetness, mark your calendars for April 26th-27th, when Dynamax Entei makes its fiery debut during the Max Battle Weekend. Keep an eye out for Shiny Entei encounters!
Prepare for these events with these Pokémon Go codes to enhance your gameplay!
The events come with several bonuses: an increased Max Particle cap, reduced adventuring distance for collecting them, and faster Power Spot refresh rates. You'll also earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot visit. Leading up to the Max Battle Weekend, free Timed Research starts on April 21st, rewarding you with a Dynamax Sobble to help counter Entei's power.
