The Blue and Yellow base models, which come with 128GB of storage and Wi-Fi connectivity, are now available for just $319.99 after a $30 discount. This represents the best deal we've seen on the newest iPad model since its launch earlier this year, making it a fantastic Mother's Day gift option, which falls on May 11. For the majority of users, the standard iPad (as opposed to the Air, Mini, or Pro) strikes the perfect balance between the benefits of iOS, robust performance, and affordability. Released on March 12, 2025, this latest model follows the previous generation by over two years (launched in October 2022). The new iPad boasts significant upgrades, including a more powerful A16 processor (versus A14), increased RAM at 6GB (versus 4GB), and doubled base storage to 128GB (versus 64GB). Remarkably, the starting price of $349 is actually lower than the launch price of the previous model, which was $399.
The features retained from the previous model include a 10.9" Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2360x1640 (264ppi), USB Type-C charging, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and the same camera setup. Additionally, it's compatible with the Magic Folio keyboard, transforming it into a mini laptop for enhanced productivity, making it an excellent choice for students. It also supports the newer Apple Pencil with USB-C.
