Hanoi 12 Days and Nights, developed by Pirex Games, is a revolutionary war game. It aims to recreate a pivotal segment of the "Dien Bien Phu in the Air" campaign—the intense struggle of Hanoi's defenders against the overwhelming U.S. aerial assault employing B-52 bombers. This conflict culminated in late December 1972, compelling the U.S. government to sign the Paris Peace Accords and restore peace to North Vietnam.
Known to the United States as Operation Linebacker II, this campaign is often referred to as Dien Bien Phu in the Air. It marked the final major U.S. military offensive against the Democratic Republic of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Launched from December 18th to 30th, 1972, it followed the breakdown of the Paris Peace Talks due to irreconcilable differences between the two sides over the agreement's terms.
