OBD2 Diagnostics - Read and Erase Fault Codes plus Access Real-Time Sensor Data

Piston puts your car's diagnostic information right at your fingertips.

Is your Check Engine Light illuminated? Use Piston to transform your mobile device into a professional car scanner. Read Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) related to the issue along with Freeze Frame data, making it easier to pinpoint and resolve the problem.

You'll need an ELM327-compatible Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapter, which connects to your vehicle's OBD2 port. Piston will walk you through the pairing process step-by-step. Instructions are available from the Home screen after initial setup or anytime via Settings.

With Piston you can:

• Review Freeze Frame data (a sensor data snapshot captured when the ECU first detected a fault)

Please note: To function as a car scanner, this app requires a separate ELM327-compatible Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapter. Piston supports OBD-II (also known as OBD2) and EOBD standards.

All vehicles sold in the United States since 1996 are required to be OBD2-compliant.

In the European Union, EOBD became mandatory for gasoline vehicles from 2001 and for diesel vehicles from 2004. Australia and New Zealand require OBD2 for petrol cars manufactured from 2006 onward and diesel cars from 2007.

Important: This application can only access data that your vehicle supports and makes available through its OBD2 interface.
