Application Description
This quiz app offers thousands of four-option multiple-choice questions covering a wide range of subjects, perfect for all ages and levels. It's a great tool for general knowledge improvement and baccalaureate exam preparation, featuring extensive question sets based on Romanian high school textbooks (History, Philosophy, Economics, and Psychology – each with around 1000 questions).
The app boasts a database of over 10,000 questions encompassing literature, film, art, mythology, music, psychology, sports, history, chemistry, politics, biology, vocabulary, linguistics, grammar, English, ancient history, rebus puzzles, IT, religion, anatomy, zoology, geography, and more. 90% of these questions are original and exclusive to the app.
Each quiz consists of 21 questions (3 levels of 7 questions each), with four answer choices per question. Lifelines include "50/50," asking the audience, and skipping questions (from level 2 onwards). Three bonus chances mitigate incorrect answers, resulting in point deductions rather than immediate game over. Scoring considers time, difficulty, and the number of question sets selected. Bonus points are awarded for completing levels or winning.
High scores can be submitted to a global leaderboard. Detailed personal statistics are available, including total points, average scores and time per quiz, best and recent results, and leaderboard ranking.
Customizable settings allow users to adjust background and sound effects, and voice announcements. The app supports text-to-speech for questions, answers, and other information.
Available on Android TV, web (www.culturagenerala.ro), and iOS (App Store), the app is fully accessible with screen readers like Talkback and Jieshuo Plus. The web version allows user-generated question contributions. The gameplay bears some resemblance to "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?".
