Classic Tri Peaks Solitaire: A Card Game Guide

Tri Peaks (also known as Three Peaks, Tri Towers, or Triple Peaks) is a popular solitaire card game played with a standard 52-card deck. The goal is to remove all cards from the three pyramid-shaped stacks.

The game begins with eighteen cards arranged face-down in three pyramids, each with three layers. Above these pyramids, ten cards are dealt face-up.

The remaining twenty-four cards form the stock pile. The first card from the stock is placed in the waste pile. To move a card from the tableau to the waste pile, it must be one rank higher or lower than the top card in the waste pile, regardless of suit. This newly discarded card becomes the new top card, and the process continues (for example: 7-8-9-10-9-10-J-10-9-8, etc.) until no further valid moves are possible. Face-down cards that are no longer covered are turned face-up during this process.
