When a modern army travels back one thousand years to dominate history, they find their primitive adversaries are full of surprises! Rally the resistance, commanding hundreds of warriors from diverse global cultures. Take direct control of a single hero or oversee the entire battlefield as a strategic commander. This game masterfully blends grand strategy with hands-on, interactive combat for the ultimate experience. Just when victory seems assured, history might decide to rewrite itself...

UPGRADES

While the core game is free to play, optional upgrades let you tailor your campaign. Choose your starting faction, territory size, and even unleash fantasy clashes between any two cultures with as many units as your device can manage! You can also customize every character in the world—though please note the game dynamically uses up to 1,000 characters that are periodically refreshed.

CONTROLS

When controlling an individual character, choose between the 'Classic' one-handed system or 'Dual Wield' for independent hand control. If you're new to the series, simply pause the action by tapping the timeline to access the detailed Controls guide. Also, keep an eye out for in-game scrolls and books that provide valuable tips.

You can switch control to any team member at any time by tapping their health bar or directly selecting them on the field. Use the arrows at the bottom of the screen to enter 'Commander' mode, where you issue orders by swiping from a unit to a destination—whether to move, engage, or interact. Your warriors will interpret your commands, but they'll act according to their own judgment and circumstances.

Regardless of your device or control scheme, you can always zoom the view in or out with a pinch gesture at the screen's center.

MAP

In the main Campaign mode, expand your territory by moving units between connected regions. You can fortify your holdings or launch an attack on a rival's land. Be strategic: only 50% of a territory's units can be deployed for an invasion, making defense easier than offense.

The population in your territories grows each round, so territorial control is key to your strength. Units also recover health over time, so rotating your focus between different locations each turn is a smart tactical approach.

PERFORMANCE

Please be aware this is my most ambitious game to date in terms of scale, and optimal performance may require a high-end device. To improve performance, consider lowering the 'Population' setting to reduce on-screen characters or adjusting options in the 'Display' menu.
